Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Chrono Flyback

Designed for the deep sea depths with its sturdy satin-finish 47mm titanium case, signature crown protection bridge and water-resistance to 300m, the Luminor Submersible 1950 has a self-winding P.9100 calibre made in Switzerland by Panerai on deck. Aside from the 72-hour power reserve, it also fuels the time and flyback chronograph functions. The black dial is wrapped in a graduated rotating bezel with a matt black ceramic ring. The hours are luminescent dots and Arabic 6 and 12 numerals tracked by two openwork spear-shape hour and minute hands whilst the seconds tick by in a counter at 9. Two slim hands, one blue and one rhodium-plated, in the centre respectively count the chronograph seconds and minutes. The hour counter and its blue hand lie at 3 o’ clock. Price: 15,400 CHF

Bentley GT3

Founded in 1919 by British engineer Walter O. Bentley (1888-1971), the brand of the same name is famous for its luxury and racing cars. The prestigious six-time winner of the 24 heures du Mans (five times in the 1920s and once in 2003) joined forces with the watchmaking experts that are Breitling in 2002. The Bentley GT3 is inspired by the Continental GT3 racing car. Its 49mm black titanium case has a rotating notched bezel housing a self-winding COSC-certified chronometer calibre. The black carbon fibre dial is reminiscent of the car’s dashboard. The hours and minutes appear in the centre as do the chronograph seconds and minutes (up to 1 hour). The hours and minutes (exceeding 1 hour) glow green in a counter at 9 o’ clock. The green date appears at 6 and the seconds tick by at 3 o’ clock. Price: 11’220 CHF

BREGUET – Marine Chronographe “200 ans de Marine” 5823

The marine chronometer was an essential piece of kit on ships in the 18th and 20th centuries. Its accuracy enabled it to determine longitude and therefore calculate the ship’s position. Appointed to the prestigious post of Royal Navy Watchmaker in 1815 by Louis XVIII, Abraham-Louis Breguet designed countless marine chronometers over the course of his career. 200 years on, the brand of the same name has paid tribute to him with a limited edition of 200 pieces. The 42mm platinum case houses a self-winding movement fuelling the time, date and chronograph functions. The matt black dial features Roman hour numerals and a minute track on the chapter ring beneath openwork Breguet “pomme” hour and minute hands. The chronograph seconds and minutes both appear in the centre whilst the hour counter at 6 o’ clock sits atop the date display. Price: 53’000 CHF
