Fashion IWC Portofino mid-size watch grandly unveiled in London

Yesterday was a huge day for Swiss watch brand IWC in London.
In the morning, IWC watches found the Portofino Midsize watches alongside Peter Lindbergh’s”Classic Portofino”, a black-and-white photographs exhibition.
London celebrity Emily Blunt, who recently starred in Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise, has risen to fame due to roles in films like the Devil Wears Prada, Young Victoria and Wild Target. Her role in Gideon’s Daughter with Bill Nighy won her a Golden Globe, and she’s just finished shooting Sicario alongside Benicio del Toro, a film about bringing down a Mexican narcotics ring.
Christoph Waltz, producer and actor, is possibly best known for his award-winning roles in Quentin Tarantino movies: the Nazi officer Landa in Inglorious Basterds and Dr King Schultz at Django Unchained. His most recent endeavor is Tulip Fever, based on the Tom Stoppard play, where he stars alongside Cara Delevingne.

Emily Blunt talked of how she arrived to pick her fairly diamond-set rose gold IWC Portofino Midsize watch on a hand-polished lilac Santoni strap. “I chose it to go with my duck egg blue suede dress, naturally,” she joked. But not completely untrue as Emily confesses to being guided by great looks when it comes to style.
Christoph Waltz was sporting the IWC Portofino Eight Day Power Reserve, a handsome manual-winding watch. He had been proud of the sapphire crystal back and took his watch off to show the viewer the inner workings of the watch. “Watchmaking is authentic precision and an art,” said Waltz, who is clearly a devout horophile.

The two Waltz and Blunt spoke of the ease with which photographer and filmmaker Peter Lindbergh functions. Over three days, 21,000 shots were taken and two miniature movies made. “It was a somewhat enchanting setting,” said Blunt of functioning with Lindbergh. “And the difference of working with Peter Lindbergh over other photographers is that you don’t feel as if you are being micro-managed and told how to hold your hands, or when a bit of hair is out of place.” Held in Battersea Park, after again Emily Blunt and Christoph Waltz were the celebrity guests.

British comedian Rob Brydon, who sang and joked through the supper, drawing fellow actors Stephen Fry, John Hurt and Julie Walters, directed the amusement. “It is absolute paradise,” said Walters on receiving her opinion, remarking, with her characteristic humour, how delighted she was given a watch since the only application for a BAFTA award is propping a door open. Rob Brydon needed to be more resourceful in procuring himself an IWC watch. Singing to the song of Beauty and the Beast, he persuaded IWC Chairman Georges Kern to a part of his view.
Amanda Nevill, CEO of the British Film Institute, thanked IWC for supporting its function, both in preserving its archives in addition to nurturing the future of British film talent. Nevill explained:”What a fantastic relationship it is with IWC. The record is looking after treasures for future generations and IWC creates treasures; they understand about attractiveness and Georges Kern is completely bonkers about movie. It’s so wonderful to have a partner who has picture in his DNA to encourage the BFI.”
