HUBLOT – BIG BANG FERRARI UNICO TITANIUM

COMPETITION IN ITS GENES

The Big Bang Ferrari collection has changed! What’s new? There is no revolution, but some highly apt developments underlining the personality of the elegant chronographs.

There can be no mistake – the Cavallino Rampante, the prancing horse, is there to remind us – this timepiece is indeed the result of a partnership between Hublot and Ferrari. The Big Bang Ferrari Unico Titanium, vintage 2017, continues to embody the spirit of the two companies: the quest for performance and innovation. For this new edition, limited to 1,000 pieces, the cutting-edge mechanism is still present and correct with the presence of an in-house, self-winding movement, Unico, with the workings displayed through a skeleton dial. This calibre powers the time information with a generous power reserve of 72 hours. With its flyback chronograph, that can be reset to zero at any time, you can time a whole series of events with a single press of the button instead of three.

As for its look, the 45mm titanium case, like the outline of the bezel, have been redesigned. The figures now continue on from the indices, instead of being set horizontally. On the dial, there is a central second hand with a red tip. The hour and minute hands have been redesigned to make them easier to read. At 3 o’clock, the minute counter, designed like the tachometer of a racing car, counts up the minutes, while a counter displays the date at the centre of the dial.

On the outside of the case, several details are inspired by the firm from Maranello. The push buttons are now longer and fixed to a rotation axis, like the pedals on a GT. The crown, with the Hublot logo, comes with improved protection, borrowing from the shape of the TPE (Turbo Performance Engineer) indicator on the dashboard of a California T car.
